I designed the Britetap waterer so I'm biased. That said, you can check out the reviews by real customers who are not biased at www.ChickenWaterer.com.
There are a number of options and it really depends on your local conditions and your access to electricity. I am the inventor and manufacturer of a new type of chicken waterer called the BriteTap waterer. The BriteTap is a nipple-based chicken waterer that attaches to an insulated water...

Thanks for the kind words and for visiting my blog. I'm glad you enjoyed the interview. I found Jessi to be quite wonderful and I think that you'll get many good gardening ideas her book. The pictures alone are worth the price of the book.

This recipe for "Baltimore Eggnog" comes courtesy of House and Garden Magazine from the 1970's. It's made better if you are able to include fresh eggs from your own chickens, so I call it Chicken Lovers Eggnog. You can find it at the below link. Have a great holiday...
I've been looking for a solution as well and sadly there isn't one that is convenient, safe and cheap at the same time.
In my opinion, the best solution if you have a small flock is to change the water several times a day. It's a pain, but the alternatives have many drawbacks. Here's some...
Chickens don't have good water retention capability and need to drink frequently. Keep the water clean at all times so they are encouraged to drink. Lots of water is also essential to good egg production as eggs are 80% water.
If you keep the water clean, you'll have happy, healthy...

Hi fellow chicken owners. Im writing a posting for my gardening blog on who owns chickens and why. I reached out to the USDA for information on this subject, but they haven't really collected any information on backyard chicken keepers.

Hi All:
I saw this chicken coop on line and thought I'd share it. It's got a really unique, modern design and is easy to build. The coop will hold 3-4 chickens.

I don't have any roosters, so its not that.
I will look to see if there are any mites, but none of the other chickens seem to have this problem, so mites seems less likely.
Her backside is blood red.
Any further help is appreciated.

HI All:
If you raise chickens, you probably also have a vegetable garden.
I believe we gardeners need an objective source of information on tomato varieties that reflects our actual experience and opinions - not those of the seed companies or the growers who both have a vested interest in...
Hi All:
Thanks for the nice builds on the original post. I know I'm preaching to the choir in this forum, but I hope other backyard gardeners get the message. Chickens are so easy to keep, I'm surprised that more people haven't done it.
By the way, I just added two bee hives. From what I can...
