Who or what is this little chick?
In just the last couple days her tail has become more pronounced. She's so vocal and she trills. My cat is very upset that he can't eat her. In about 4 weeks I would like to put her in my aviary with my quail, but I keep reading that its a bad idea. I don't want her isolated. Any thoughts?- Karen Sal

What is an EE mix? I know next to nothing about chickens. I raise Japanese quail for eggs and as pets. Of course, now that I know my hubby is allergic to the eggs and meat (had one for dinner that broke her neck due to a freak thunder blast) I am seriously considering adding 1 or 2 chickens...- Karen Sal

You could put a layer of straw down on the 1/2 wire. The straw will stay for several days, depending on how thick it is. -
