    WIERD MATING RITUAL

Mark I agree with everything you just said. And I'm not saying ruddy ducks are the easiest things to raise, but there are a fare amount of people breeding them over here. Second my point wasn't to say he is one of the best or anything like that, I just wanted to know why Dr. Todd would say he is...

    WIERD MATING RITUAL

    Swans with worms.

I have offered to take some hybrid waterfowl, to keep them from getting destroyed, but while vent sexing them I found little white worms in them! What are they and how do I treat them, as they are not coming to my place with worms!!!

    Why are swans so expensive?

Another factor is space. A breeding pair of swans takes up a lot of pen space! So even when you get the breeding down it's not like you have room for tons of breeding swans anyway.

    Baikal Teal

Dude it's not that hard. Most if not all might be sold out by now, the best time to find them is in early fall when people are selling young bird hatched from the year. Try GBWF.org and go to the forum, they might not have any right now, they usually sell pretty fast in the fall, but every once...

    Are geese fox deterents?!

It only takes one fox that's not afraid of your birds, and he will eat your geese.

    Barheaded Geese

Those are from my phone so they could be worse I guess lol, yes they are pinioned, and The reason they look so small is because in the first pic they are next to a giant gander, and in the second pic the barnacle gander is about 6 ft closer to me up hill. All in all they are a nice size goose, a...

    Christmas tree

I like to take the leftover tree cut the branches off the middle of one side. Then when I set in on it's side their is a open space they can get under very easy, and by leaving the branches on the top side the snow collects, making a perfect natural shelter that all my species of pheasant seem...

    Barheaded Geese

I feed mine regular duck pellets with a little whole corn. They seem to be a little bit timid at feeding time. As for noise I haven't had them during the breeding season, but they don't seem to "talk" very much. I would suggest a pond big enough for them to breed in at the very least. I keep...
