I was going to let the kids dissect the eggs today and we arrived to school to find them hatching! I had heard to toss eggs after day 25 but we'll wait it out from now on!

I wouldn't do it. I had a couple two week old's in with some new babies and one got squished. I found him flat as a pancake in the morning. I think they were laying on top of him and didn't know it.

So is this spraddle leg then? He came out of the incubator unable to stand. I found this yesterday: Would this be helpful or will it hinder his leg strength? Thanks!!

This chick can't seem to stand up. I've had it in the band aid thing for spraddle leg but it doesn't seem to help. Suggestions? he just lays flat on his belly all day long

Well our after school hatching project was a flop. Only 3 eggs hatched out of the original 36. I have 19 eggs sitting next to me, all with developed, dead chicks inside of them. I don't know what happened but the 10 year old foam incubator that we used wasn't the best option in my opinion. I'm...

I tried candeling today but only 4 of the eggs are light enough to see through. All 25 looked like chicks were developing/ had developed. The humidity's at 70%.

Well today is day 25 and only 3 of the 25 remaining eggs have hatched. I left the eggs in the bator in hopes that we're still just running behind but I'm doubtful at this point that we'll have any more chicks

I've had the same situation. Chicks were due the 23rd. 1 chick hatched on the 24th and yesterday (day 24) I had 2 new pips. Hopefully I'll have lots of new babies when I check today.

Sure thing. It may be a while though. I can't go in the classrom it's in for another hour or two.
