Hello everyone
I have not been here in a very long time. I am trying to find a home for a rooster. Someplace where he will not be a meal. He is an ameracuna turken mix. He is a lovely boy, he gets along well with people. But is loud...and I do not like what he is doing to my girls. Also I still...

Cool. Need volunteers for the chicken keeping class?
If you have partridge cochin chicks next spring, I may have to get some from you.
We are just getting things set up to do our first one. But if you have ideas or want to be a speaker on a particular thing that would be wonderful...
Thank you to everyone who had confidence in me. We still want it to make it our goal to change the ordinance as well. In our minds the Township law should go with the State law.
I had a very nice woman stop by today. She bought 6 chicks from TSC in the spring. Told they were all girls and at...

Thats the problem they are still saying we cant keep the chickens. The board of Trustees meets in about two weeks. They will decide then whether or not they want to take us to court. We thought about charging for the carton or maybe even asking for a $3 donation to the girls food and...

On another note... I have two very broody cochins. My friend is bring me 4 ameracuna...
I have no idea. But interesting tid bit... My MDA man told me that originally the RTFA concerning chickens was for protecting 5000 or more on one farm. That they really didnt think that small flocks were such a concern, but that is one reason the Act has been added on to several times over the...

I talked with my attorney today. He said that your deed should not matter. You HAVE to be inspected and be found in compliance with GAAMP. If you want my attorneys number I can get that to you.
The Attorney thinks we are going to win. He mentioned the Greenhouse case too. He also said...
I agree. We have found several cases where RTFA won over ordinances. But then we found a Mi Supreme Court Case that didnt. The Court ruled in favor of the City of Troy over a Greenhouse.
I am hopeful...but still worried.
This process has consumed our lives.
