    Frozen water bottles in their waterers and pools, plenty of shade, and good airflow help alot. Misting works very well to lower the temp in the outdoor enclosures, the straw can mold, but if exposed to this weather, not likely, at least here in Casa Grande lol. I haven't had an issue with that...

    That is a good point, in the event of all day use, but its not really necessary, just short times during the peak heat hours. But you do make a good point about the "enveloping" of the heat due to the moisture content. As of now, I only mist my girls when they just start to show signs of heat...

    Misters might help with the heat, as much as they pretend to hate the water, it does cool them down, and their coops as well. I use shade cloth on the top of one of my coops, under the chicken wire, seems to help. My other coop has a 10×20 "carport "canopy" over it, that is a huge help in the...
