    I was leaving the coop door open until 2 grey foxes came snooping around so I have been putting the screen back in at night for security. I also reinforced with lattice that is buried in the ground over the chicken wire.

    I went out yesterday and drilled holes on either side of the gable so that should do the trick.

    I recently started ordering my happy hen treat squares and mealworms from chewy.com. I do not have sny complaints. Set it up for automatic delivery. I was already ordering my dog food from them. The delivery is quick and it is convenient.

    Thanks. They started laying July 17th. Within a week all three have been laying an egg a day faithfully....a lot of them double yokes. 1 of them took a 4 day break.

    Thank you for your feedback. I am definitely installing vents on either side. I will have to think about the perch due to the access door. The bracket it right above the door so I can’t lower it. What are your thought if heated watered in the coop. Will it cause moisture?

    The ridge vent is at the peak of the roof to allow heat to escape. Not sure how it would work in the winter for moisture. Escuse the poo as today is cleaning day.......They have 2 roost bars although they prefer the Dow rod over the 2x4.
