Hello,
My flock has the mg illness and almost all of them are showing symptoms but they are all acting normal. My rooster and another hen both have bubbly eyes and today they had their first day of added tylan powder in drinking water.
Everywhere I read it says the treatment is around 1-5...
Sounds like a respiratory infection, Tylan should clear it up, in the mean time put some vet rx on her nose and under her wings

read up on this.
Do what the above poster said^^ but I would also do a quick google search for mareks and see if the symptoms listed fit your birds. Because this sounds like it could potentially be mareks.
I had something like that with a horse of mine once so we needed to mix water into all his feed to reduce dust from the hay. I cant remeber if the vet gave him any medications for this however.
Thats always a possibility. If something like tylan doesnt help that could be the case but the fact that her eye is closing makes it seem like an illness.
yeah for eye drops the simple human ones are fine as long as they arnt specific ones. The ones for basic eye cleaning or dryness should be good. U can also use vaseline to suffocate the mites, otherwise any specific anti lice and mite poweder/spray should work.
As for antibiotics, they are each...
Hello,
I have wanted geese for a while and I recently saw something an article on Tula geese. Although they arent the prettiest creatures I pretty much fell inlove.
We want some geese that can help protect our farm in the sense that they will make noise when intruders come as our dog can be...
Sounds like a respitory issue, and the flaky skin could me mites or lice, do they have dry sand to wash themselves in? A simple eye drop could help her one eye but since you say one eye is weird and she has raspy breathing she probably has a respatory issue. If she is thinner this could be from...
Your post is abit unclear but if I got it right your rooster has some sort of crusting or fluid around his nose? Sounds like a respiratory issue, could you please give a better explanation so it is easier for us to help you.
I agree with eggcessive a dog crate that can be put in the coop is a good idea because if you seperate her for too long, she will be much lower in the pecking order than she is now.
When you do move your coop, make sure it is slightly slanted and just a few degrees in one direction that way rain will always wash away. If its just puddles they will be fine, but you said it was flooded, if it is really bad the water could fester over time but this seems like a short term...
I have had some very severe and scabbed prolapses in the past form other chickens pecking at it. This can take some time to fix. When it is as clean as it can be push it back in so that the muscles do not get too used to hanging out there. If she recovers, keep an eye on her as she will be more...
