Hi all! I have a 3 year old buff Orpington that’s sick.
I noticed she had some poop on her feathers so gave her a butt bath and cleaned her up. But it’s happened again and when I went to check on her today she was ill looking (puffed up, in the coop but did come down to see me but lay down...
Anyone else have these spots/discolouration appear on their eggs a few days after being laid? They are not visible when we collect them but a few days later I notice them (they are stored in a dish on the counter lined with paper towel). Thought?
Hi All! I am new to chickens :-) and this forum has been so helpful!
We have 4 pullets (3 are buff orpintons and 1 black australorp). They will be 20 weeks this weekend. Currently I feed them a grower crumble feed. None of them are laying yet.
Do I switch to a layer feed now or when...
I have 4 seven week old chicks that I just put out in the coop for the first time tonight! They did that alarmed sounding chirp for 5-10 minutes but are now quiet. I added the night light they’d had in the room with their brooder but I’m wondering if that was a mistake as they all seem to be...
Hello!
I’m a first time chicken parent and I have 4 approximately 6-6.5 week old chicks. I would love to hear everyone’s guesses on Hen vs Roo . They were purchased as sexed day old chicks and are all supposed to be Hens!

Thanks everyone!

I ordered chicks from McMurray and they were part of a large group order. I think they were shipped on Tuesday and we got them on Wednesday. I am Ontario so it’s still cold this time of...
Hi Everyone!

We have a TON of very smart raccoons and a few rats/mice etc where we live so...
Hi Everyone!

We have ordered buff Orpingtons and Black Australorps chicks! I...
