    One of my Australorps (2 wk) has a huge lump below her vent. She eats/drinks/is super active and seems healthy. No weird poop. What could this be? It looks like a blockage or hernia.

    Ants- HELP!!

    Here's what we are doing- exterminating. BUT! Going to put DE in their bedding. and a cinnamon/DE mix around the brooder AREA on the floor...and insect tape around the edges of the brooder.... keep the sickly ants away from my babies as they are killed off.

    Great success. I got it all cleaned up and she's now drying off. I didn't have vaseline but I put olive oil on her butt. She's acting feisty now... they definitely don't like being rinsed off. She pooped for a long time after her bath.
