She’s about 6 months, and we feed her adult duck food from tractor supply, occasional bread, and whatever else she finds in the pond when she’s swimming.
My female pekin duck has been acting weird lately. She’s able to swim just as she did before, but she’s unable to walk. When she tries to walk she constantly falls over and goes very slowly. She’s also missing a lot of feathers on her stomach. She has a male partner so at first we thought she...
So I have a duck about 6 weeks old and I want to mix him with my adult ducks. The adults are one pair of Cayugas and one pair of Welsh. How do I mix them so they don’t fight? Or should I not mix them?
Yes. Thank you! It is a Cayuga and I should have 2 more hatching in the next couple days. I also will have some Welsh coming! This is my first time so I’m really excited! I have 5 ducks all together. A pair of Cayuga and now the baby. And then a pair of Welsh.
My first duckling is on its way! He is already breaking through and making lots of noise. I just have a few questions. What do I do after he hatches? Let him be? For how long? Does he need food or water? I’m new so please explain everything I need to know and do from the time they start to hatch
Hello! It’s been about 30 days since I put this eeg and the incubator and now it is cracked open and we heard some chirping. Now the chirping has stopped and he has stopped trying to break through. It’s been cracked open for about 10 minutes. Should I help him? This is my first time so please...
I actually live in Northern Indiana. It is still a little cool here so I don’t think snakes would be out yet. Same thing for the weasels. And they usually lay the eggs in the water, so even if animals were getting in I don’t think they’d go under water
It won’t let me upload pictures. Half of It is in very shallow water. The holes in the cage are blocked off so they cant slide through. Half is on land and they have a small dog kennel with hay to lay eggs.
