I purchased some tompsons water seal to paint on it, it has been rainy and need it to be dry to seal it. It is chinese fir, smells like cedar and is supposed to deter bugs..- Collslash

It is not concrete it is 18 foot pressure treated wood that it sits on. It is braced down.- Collslash

There are 3 sliding doors in the coop plus the doorway into the coop. I can detach the coop from the run, and take it off of the pressure treated 6 x 6’s it sits on. I will only keep 2-3 chickens in it as well. I could not get a large walk in run and house, most are very ugly and neighbors...- Collslash

I have not installed the hardwire to the ground yet. I live in new jersey in a neighborhood and currently have 2 hens and a rooster (who will be leaving soon) was debating on getting another hen or not.- Collslash

Gotcha, they came with the coop kit and were supposedly “proven” predator safe. Good to know. Guess I will be changing them out.- Collslash

The slide bolt locks are different, they kind of like lock, hard to explain. I did get lazy and only put one on the other doors, I will put them top and bottom now. The nesting box has a weird key locking thing, it is hard for me to open, so I am confident in that. I will take pictures and post.- Collslash

Yes what breed (listed what I think they are) and what sex are they? I have black and white barred plymouth rock, tan buff orpington and and brown, white, tan ameraucana, supposedly all hens... what do you think? They will be 5 weeks old in 3 days...- Collslash
