I know silkies are notoriously difficult to sex but I thought I would try anyway! This is our first silkie and we are in love. I was told she (I hope) was three months old. Also, is this considered a blue silkie? Thanks!!

I figured they're a little young to tell but the girl at the feed store seemed fairly confident, so we'll see. I'm so excited to see what they lay!! I'll also try to get better pictures tonight or tomorrow :)
So they actually refunded me with no issues. I went in expecting a fight, so I was pretty happy to only be there about 3 minutes lol. I went down the road and picked up these two from a local feed store for a total of $10 :D they said Olive egger pullets. Fingers crossed that's correct, but $5...
It's funny because I actually found them on Craigslist and they were advertising FREE roosters! I wish they had an actual website so I could leave a review. I drive over an hour to get them and I'll have to drive back on Monday, I was pretty angry (still am). But this is a definite learning...
Yeah, unfortunately for me this was my first time buying in person and not a chick. I assumed he was going to give me what I asked him for. He probably figured I wouldn't figure it out for awhile. Live and learn I guess, but I better get my money back lol
Right? They're gorgeous (or will be when their feathers grow back) but I didn't ask for roosters. He tried to pull that they're straight run, which he didn't say while I was there. But at $40 a bird at 5 months old... He should be able to tell. Once I got them home I sure could and I'm new to...
I also had that thought. And I trusted that he was giving me what I asked for so he picked them up and put them in the carrier without me really getting a look till I got home. I'm so irritated. They're beautiful, but I'm just not looking for roosters.
