    Sexing Ameraucanas help!

Hi there, I've got 2 BCM and 2 double silver laced barnies who I think I know the sex of, but I'm struggling with the Ameraucanas, maybe too early? I always say I'm not going to guess and just wait, but here I am guessing 🤣 I did a collage of each breed. They are all 4 weeks old. The...

    Sick chickens

Hi all, I have a bit of a weird situation and could use a little help or reassurance. I'm having one of those times where I'm feeling defeated and like I'm failing my chickens. It started about 3 weeks ago when I found one of my hens (2 yo Barnevelder) laying in the coop with some abdominal...

They're too much for the current hens I have and I can't keep building coops for bachelor pads for all of my roosters haha!

How to decide which silkie roosters to rehome?!

Hi there, I unfortunately hatched 4 silkie roosters recently. They're all quite nice and handsome and I can't figure out which to let go (planning on rehoming hopefully). How do you decide? I am planning on retaining 2 roosters for breeding. I currently have white, splash, paint, and black hens...

To cut or not to cut?

Hi all, I am wrestling with whether or not to cut these bumblefoot feet and bandage? I have recently cut their highest perch down and replaced the substrate in their pens to make it softer. The Barnevelder feet I have already cut and bandaged but have come back. No one really has painful...

    Bumblefoot help!

Two of my chickens in one coop, another from a different coop, and a duck, who also lives separately all have bumblefoot! All of it started after we built them large, amazing runs outside. At first I thought it was perches, so I switched them but after all of my birds got them shortly after...

I don't quite know how to number them but the second I took two pictures of to get the markings. The third and fourth are different chicks! The rest of the photos are just singles.

Hi there, I've got 8 baby silkies (about 1 week old) and I'm wondering if anyone can help me out with colours! I'm thinking blue, 1 paint, but I'm not sure what some of the others are? Thanks! Erin

Intermittent soft shell eggs after moving

They are less crowded actually! But they don't have any outdoor space right now. Yes, was thinking more calcium in the layena. Plus they looked at me like I was crazy at the feed store so wanted to make sure I wasn't doing anything wrong. Hanging it is a great idea, thanks!

    Duck feed in Canada

Hi there, My husband and I recently moved back to Canada and acquired a cute little Indian Runner duck (she was going to be euthanized and given to us). She's got some friends coming along in May. I am struggling to find duck feed for her. The feed store said she can be given Purina Gold N...
