    Sexing Sussex breeds

Hi we have just started of with Sussex (buff and speckled). Looking for any advice on best way to sex from day olds through to 18 weeks. I have been told comb sexing at around 14 weeks is the most reliable. Appreciate any tips/advice the BYC members have. Thanks

    Reducing humidity

Without viewing the size and relative ventilation it more than likely is a ventilation problem a rooftop ventilation system like a whirlybird might be worth a try.

Yes this is totally normal young pullets especially first season of laying will start with smaller than average sized eggs. As the weeks go on you will see an increase in size from the pullets.

Increasing fertility tip from old breeder

Hi all I was talking to a very well known Australian breeder who frequents many shows. He was telling me to pluck the feathers from around the rooster and hens vent to increase fertility strike when mating. Has anyone else heard this or tried it ? Thanks
