Wow. This thread is still going strong.
I hope everybody is well. Been a while since I was on. I'm looking forward to getting my bators back out. Maybe next year
Well see.
Got a lot of catching up to do.
Well, looks like I'm getting out of the quail business for a while due to health problems. I may need some of you to help me get started in the future. I haven't been on much lately even though I have been watching when I could. Got some bad news last week and am looking at surgery soon. Trying...
Rat snake AKA chicken snake.
He had already crushed them. Right after this picture, the yoke started running out his mouth. Lots of it.
He was in the nest when I found him.
Hey everybody. I have been busy lately but been trying to keep up here when possible. Hoping to set some quail eggs soon. I've been through 2 brooders of chickens since I hatched the 60 quail for my friend.
About a month ago a coworker came up with some guinea eggs so what the heck. I set...
I don't open the bator until the last egg hatches. 2 to 2 1/2 days. I have left them for 3 days with no trouble but 2 days is pushing it. Eggs hatching after that usually don't make it.
My quail hatch has been put off for a while. I was saving eggs to set this week and things out of my control changed my plans. :hmm
I knew better than to go there. I knew it was a bad decision.
Tractor supply has chicks. :wee
I came home with 12 Isa Browns and 3 assorted ducks...
I keep the hearts out of all my game and livestock. Sometime, depending on the mood and time, I keep the liver and kidneys. Rabbit liver is the best liver you can eat.
I used the patch to quit smoking. It worked well for me.
The dipping I just dropped. I first started chewing gum but my taste buds got out of whack. That was bad. The matches work for me.
Try chewing matches. :gig
I quit smoking about 7 years ago and picked up dipping. I quit dipping last year and found chewing matches helps. You just need something to do to keep your mind off it. Good luck. :fl
