I would think that unless they were looking/expecting a person to be there, they wouldn't have seen you. Kind of like hiding in plain sight. And they do sound like they were on something, good thing you were careful and hid anyway!

since I got it from the hatchery, it's a light brahma. I have tried massaging it's crop, giving it olive oil, vitamins, etc.Nothing seems to help. It can't be impacted, it has been doing this since I got it back in September.
It eats, poops, sleeps, but just sits around with its' head tucked...

What we do is think about what will give her the best quality of life, then go for it. If it does not do anything except extend her pain and suffering, then I would let her live out her life with you.

Uh, do you realize that cats will crap wherever there is fresh dirt? For instance, freshly turned garden dirt? Did you ever dig a hole and leave a pile of dirt? Yup, fresh dirt and I am sure they crap all over it. If you can't bring it inside, then yes, use a litterbox outside. And change it often.
