Thank you all for your replies. Yes, we have all those animals around here. Could have been any of them but I suspect weasel or raccoon. This was our own fault for forgetting to shut the run. I would like to install a little spy camera to ID the culprit. He'll be back.

I stand corrected, my husband just told me the predator did maul her head and back end and did eat her insides so maybe this was a weasel. Anyone ever hear of a predator leaving its bowel movement?

OK, one week after complaining about the behavior of my girls my black sexlink gave us this perfect egg! They are all starting to sit in the nests now. 18 weeks old. Whoooooo HOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!

First egg today from my black sexlink 18 weeks old! Pinkish brown about 2 1/2 inches long. Nice and clean and perfect just sitting all alone in the nesting box! Put it in the bowl for the pic, now it is in the refrigerator!
