Update! They are now 18 days weeks old
I sadly lost 3 to a raccoon :(
They’re gross and muddy as we had a crazy snowstorm and then lots of rain here but wanted to keep it updated

Just thought I’d keep everyone updated for anyone curious
11 weeks old today all are bantam cochins
#1 started crowing no surprise there 😂
#2 pretty positive rooster
#3 still leaning towards pullet
#4 pullet (based on feathers)
#5 pullet based on feathers
#6 still thinking pullet
I have 6 mixed bantam cochins, I’m pretty sure I already know and have assumed genders since they were very young but I just wanted some others opinions I’m mostly not positive about #2 as I have a clear rooster and a few clear hens they are almost 9 weeks old

Crops are empty in the morning and feed in brought inside every night 😞 I really appreciate any help! They are drinking well, when they go down hill they stop eating but continue to drink
They have a full coop to themselves, they are tucked in (locked up) every night and in the run during the day, but have access to the inside of their coop at all times. I am treating with Corid the 9.6 liquid and am treating with 2 tables spoons per gallon. I am changing the water every day...
I have lost 3 chicks in the past weeks to the same symptoms, I have one acting sick today and am at a loss.
The chicks are 7 weeks old outside far separated from the flock. The sick one is noticeably lighter, and has cold feet. It is hunched up and was acting normal yesterday. They have been...
I do have black and blue ameraucanas and have never had a blue chick hatch from any of my black hens. The barnevelder is the only hen in that coop that lays a tan egg so it has to have come from her. Those are definitely the two parents and again I know the roosters lineage for many generations...
He’s my only rooster with her and there is no escaping or free ranging, definitely came from him I’ve been breeding true ameraucanas for years the blacks do produce blue especially when bred to a blue hen with my ameraucanas he usually has 50/50 blue and black chicks which is very typical for...
I’m really not sure where the blue came from 😂🤷🏼♀️ I was just more asking if the chick would end up being solid or if it would end up with lacing. The blue I’m guessing came from the dad since true black ameraucanas can come from two blue parents or a blue and a black parent
He is a black ameraucana all of his chicks have been black other than a few blues when bred to a blue ameraucana which is typical. The chick looks to be a blue no yellow tint to it I’m guessing that part is the lighting. The rooster is from show lines so I know he is pure especially with all of...
I had a chick recently hatch from a barnevelder hen and a true black ameraucana! Does any one have any clue what it will end up looking like?
