I have 6 mixed bantam cochins, I’m pretty sure I already know and have assumed genders since they were very young but I just wanted some others opinions I’m mostly not positive about #2 as I have a clear rooster and a few clear hens they are almost 9 weeks old

Pls do not take my word. I have mistaken chicken sexing many times. The best way is vent sexing. Do you know someone who lives out of town or somewhere you can keep it. It is illegal to kill it because it is close to the most beautiful chicken I have seen. But I pray it’s a hen because that is a beautiful chicken.

While I am absolutely no help at determining gender, I LOVE Cochin Bantams and had to check out your photos. They are all lovely, but No. 2 is gorgeous! I also hope No. 2 is a girl.

Sometimes, chickens fool us. I have a Buckeye with a huge comb and spurs -- and who lays eggs! Wishing you the best of luck!

Just thought I’d keep everyone updated for anyone curious

I LOVE THEM ALL! 🥰 I don’t have Cochin bantams right now. I need to get some hatching eggs! #2… larger-comb pullet or late-developing cockerel? I can’t wait to find out. (Some of my Serama pullets have larger combs). Either way, GORGEOUS colors!
