    Looks nice. It would work for that many poultry. I would put wire down on the bottom though so predators cannot dig under.

    I would take the thai out for a while and try again later. Might end up being too aggressive for the rest of your flock. If possible you could put him in a cage where they can all see each other but not reach each other.

    If it was me, but I am no expert...I would clean and coat with antibiotic ointment a couple times a day. My hen had a pretty good head injury from a coon and she healed nicely. Unless it is a major vein it shouldn't bleed out. Might want to keep her from roaming and getting dirt in the wound...

    I think a coon would have killed it. If they are not inside locked up something will eventually eat them at night..it is heartbreaking when it happens. A coon and many other critters can easily scale a fence.

    Wont go back into coop!!

    I had to retrain mine after keeping them in the garage a couple of nights after a coon attack. I physically had to carry them out there after they tried to roost on the patio table. After 4 days they were back in the swing of it.

    I have had some coon deaths and they seem to eat the head first but never have taken it up in a tree. I would have to go with some type of cat or owl. What about a possum? They might try to eat a younger hen and go up in trees. Are your hens locked up at night?
