How far will the sound of crowing travel?

I hear a rooster in the area every morning and don’t know anyone else with chickens in the neighborhood other then a family who live about a mile and a half(May be a little less) away and on top of hill, the crow is very faint but my boy use to hear it and have crow outs.

    Advice for cockerel introduction

Personally I’d wait till he hits puberty, which could be anywhere from 3-6 months or later. When he has become noticeably more active and showing more interest in the hens, then try introducing, as long as they can see each other through the fence for awhile they should be easier to put together

Trouble in paradise! (Hens fighting for dominance)

Maybe try putting the bird in a cage within the cage, they’ll fight for forever but adventually one will move on.Once one is tired let them out the cage, and hopefully the more so tired and weaker bird will give up.

    Two roosters?

Very few hens can cause issues amongst the boys, but it really depends on the boys themselves,They May get along but will likely overbreed the hens.Maybe look into purchasing 10 more pullets.
