Duckling with half of bill gone

It’s not a deformity, it was broken somehow. He was hatched perfectly normal with a full beak, so is there a chance part of it could grow?

Duckling with half of bill gone

I have a duckling that hatched a day and a half ago that has half of the top of its bill gone… i’ve done a bit of research but I was just wondering if there’s anything else I can do for him? And is there any chance some of it might grow back? I’ve cleaned the bill with vetericyn and put a very...

    Help!

No, she’s too old now. But i’ve put her in a little space in the house with some water with ACV and she ate a little. It took her a while, but she is standing now! She wasn’t talking at all earlier, but i’ve gotten a few little quacks so far. My biggest concern is that I haven’t seen her poop.

    Help!

I found my female duck laying in the coop with her feet out unnaturally. Her feet kept shaking and she wasn’t talking like she normally would. What is going on? I put her in a bath to warm her up a bit and get her to float a little i guess. I’m hoping she can get her feet beneath her, but it’s...

    Ascites

Well this could be a good sign depending on which stage she is in! Ascites isn’t curable, but I think if you catch sour crop early enough it is?

    Ascites

I’m not sure if it’ll go away on it’s own... since the liquid doesn’t really have any place to go. I believe the liquid coming from the beak is a symptom of sour crop. Not 100% sure, I’d probably ask around or research more on that one!

    Ascites

From what i read, most of the time it’s caused by liver failure which leaks a yellowish fluid. My hen had the same stool condition you mentioned. I added apple cider vinegar to the water and washed her vent area pretty much every day, snipped away any really icky feathers. I also let her munch...

    Ascites

I have a hen with ascites and I’m going to drain it tomorrow. I went to the store and got needles and syringes. I have read that a 20 ga 1/2 in needles works best, but they were out of stock, so I just just got 20 ga x 3/4 in. Is this needle still okay to use?

    Ascites

Hello, I’m 99% sure my Australorp mix has water belly, or ascites. Her belly feels like a water balloon ready to burst. Is an 18 gauge needle okay for draining it?

    Genders?

I have two half Pekin and half Khaki Campbell’s, along with a full blooded Khaki Campbell. I have no clue what the genders are lol. They’re around 6 weeks old, and the one with the less defined bib is the most talkative so far. The black ones both have a hint of shiny green on their heads, but...

    Duck eating poop????

My duck hen has a habit of eating dirt. She’ll go outside, and just munch on it lol. She recently picked up on eating her own feces, as well as the other duck’s poop. Is this normal? Can I stop it? She contaminated the water every times she gets a drink, because she has poop on her beak. I don’t...

    Chicken Mites/Lice

I checked my rooster today for mites, and there was a huge red spot near his vent that I’m pretty sure is due to lice or mites. I’ve cleaned out the whole coop and the bedding, sprayed it down with poultry lice coop spray (including the roost), and mixed poultry dust with the bedding. I’ll dust...
