Checking-In On Peeps - Post Here To Say Hello!

Hello all! So super busy 6 months as we’ve moved home ( with 2 budgies, 10 chickens and a geriatric Cat), but all settled in now. Chooks still in temporary run, but now the weathers picking up ‘himself’ can start on a new design and build the run. Loads more land here (3 acres) so I feel the...

My Vet (uk) won't see my sick Chicken because of Avian Flu restrictions.

nope. They said they have to 'see' and inspect the animal live..apparantly thats the law before they can diagnose or give out meds.....funny that as currently 'humans' can get meds via phonecalls and chats with Doctors! Does anyone know any Vets that would take video or photo evidence to...

My Vet (uk) won't see my sick Chicken because of Avian Flu restrictions.

Hi everyone....has anyone had the same issue and how did you overcome it? My oldest girl (Tallulah) has a bad case of classic Mycoplasma...swollen closed eye, bubbling and runny nose....been battling this on and off for a number of years in the flock. I think the 'stress' of being locked down in...

Use of sling for broken leg

Hi...we are currently going through the same thing with one of our Bantams. Vet thinks its either a soft tissue injury or arthritis nodules that has broken the hock joint. We did have a swelling, so after that had gone, we splinted it with a velcro'd finger splint. We moulded it to the shape of...

    Injured Chicken

Hi, if you look at pics you can see she has leg holes ( quite large as they very feathery legs!) and a ‘poop’ hole cut in too...very essential 🤣 The chicken Walker is more for rehab once the leg is on the mend, and also to make sure the other leg doesn’t ‘waste’ away....it was really easy to...

    Injured Chicken

Hi...my little pekin went down with what we suspect is a broken leg a week ago...bottom part of leg/foot floppy and unresponsive (Vet unable to confirm without x-rays, but is pretty sure its a break due to arthritis) He did say as long as its warm, there is good blood flow (which there is)...

Constant Intestinal Lining shedding normal ?

Ok,so quick update. I didn’t want to start such a young chick on harsh anti biotics straight away as have had issues with this causing secondary problems like sour crop in the past (baytril only option from our vets) and as she had just come off coxoid and was really very well in herself...

Constant Intestinal Lining shedding normal ?

As attached, but like I said, Chook is absolutely fine, has had Coxoid (no change) and labatory egg count showed negative for worms or cocci...very odd...this is from overnight under her spot on the perch...lots of nice poo as well!

Constant Intestinal Lining shedding normal ?

All, I wonder if anyone can help? I have a 26 week old New Hampshire Red called Boo (bought at 18 weeks), not yet laying due to daylight length, who regularly passes what looks like orangey intestinal lining. This is virtually in every poo to some extent. The odd occasional wet dropping, but...
