    My dream flock is soon to arrive. The chicken house will accommodate 40. 160 sq ft. Have 40 hens 8 male chicks Buff Orpington, Black Australorp, Buff Brahma, Dark Brahma and Light Brahma. 10 guineas. 3 BBW turkey, 2 BBB turkey, 8 Blue Slate and 8 Bourbon Red turkeys.

    Yes all chickens will be dual purpose. Brahma, Australorp and BO. My goal is a self sustaining flock with new roosters every couple of years. Hoping to hatch up to 100 birds a year. Starting with 30 female chicks and 12 straight run from 4 breeds.

    I plan to eat all the excess males and pullets each year, keeping a few choice birds for the flock. As a semi prepper I would first like to achieve a sustainable flock. I am not getting into this to make extra money selling eggs.
