    Hey i have a few eggs with a pink ring in the yolk after i hard boiled. What could cause this?! Is it fertile? I gather daily normallly and my Roo is only 4 months. We went out of town for 2 days and a few sat there. Is it possible? Is it something i should be aware of ?

    My RIR laid a striped egg today. All of her eggs before have shatter from being so week and they were very pale in comparison. She just started laying in February and this is her 3rd or 4th.     Thanks!! I have 11 hens. A mixed flock. Luckily the shed was more plastic than anything else so sawing through wasn't so hard. We still have a lot more work to do before completely done. Thanks for the welcome and glad to talk to another NC stater.

    Thanks it seems to be some kind of thick plastic. It is holding together pretty well when we cut into it though. I am hoping to start working on the roost and dropping pan area next weekend. Then pressure wash and paint! we are really excited! Thank you for the advice!

    Hey all! We are turning our shed into a coop for our girls next weekend and wondered if anyone has had experience or advice to offer. We are adding a door on the side and a window in the back. Other than that is there anything else we should add?
