Evening!
I live in Naples, FL and the last few days half my yard has found itself in standing water from all the rain. It was overnight rain, so by the time I woke up the chicken run was under water, with the chickens drinking from that standing water. I got them out of there and raised their...
Hi, all! I have 3 hens whose eyes are almost completely shut from the fowl pox scabs. Any suggestions on how to get them nourished and hydrated in this state?? They are having difficulty finding the water and food in some cases. :(
I already have them separated, each in their own crate.
Happy Friday, chicken people!
I just noticed that one of my hens has a cut on her waddle that seems to be slightly infected, given that it’s swollen and puffy. Anything recommended to handle that infection??
Thank you!s
Hi, all!
I saw some blood in one of the chickens feces over a week ago and I started to treat with Corid, until I could get a fecal. In the end, they got 7 days of Corid
I got a fecal done and it came back positive for tapeworms. I gave them Panacur, it’s been a couple of days and I found...
Good morning, Chicken People!
Has anyone figured out how to keep raccoons out of their treadle feeder? I am happy to pay for good feed for my chickens, but I am not happy about it being hijacked. Any suggestions?!

A couple of weeks ago I had a chicken with...
Hi, all.
I just needed to share my situation with people who will understand. I've been keeping chickens for 1.5 years, not long. The learning curve at times has been steep, and so has the joy!
As we speak, I believe I may have made the mistake of introducing a rooster with Marek's to my...
Hi, all!
First post here!
I have a flock of 10 chickens. After losing my rooster earlier this year, I wanted to replace the rooster. I met a breeder who said he's NPIP certified and brought home a little Brahma. He's eating and drinking, but the first day there was blood in his stool. The...
