Ameraucana are my favorite breed I bought 3 lavander ameraucanas...one of those is a cuchoo...so he has kind of white legs instead of the blue and has been slow maturing so far I'm not 100 percent on roo at 4 months
This bird is getting about 20 new feathers in the saddle area and hackles are getting pointy..two things Mahe sexing this bird difficult one it's an Americana two it's a lavender cuchoo so I'll just have to be patient...this bird has a definate three row pea comb both other two have a definate...
I am American living in the Philippines these birds were very hard to find so I'm really hoping roo I'm quite sure on the pullets and ameraucanas are often late bloomers and I'm guessing too but if not I'll be breeding them with a leghorn Rhode Island red or old English roo
I sure
Hope you are right I have two pullets who are also lavender ameraucanad I'm hoping to breed them. The other two have super small pea combs this one is actually cuchoo that's why the whitelist legs
Have to try that too..my incubator is a styrofoam cooler I made myself that stays open when the power goes out I simply close it and it holds heat only holds 30 eggs though but 80 chicks hatched out of 90 three runs
I live in the Philippines where brownouts are normal and monthly and alot of people use incubators including me and still hatching after 4 to 6 hours no power. Just don't open it
