Not Red sexlinks, Red sexlinks do not have black tails. I was thinking that but could not tell if the tail is dark or if there is a shadow and I was looking at the tips of the wings as well.

Those do work well and will kill the animal. You can look up sets for coinbear traps and get ideas on what you can do with them. I like setting them in a 5 gallon bucket. The only down side is if you catch one of your own pets or someone elses in it.

pitchfork or baseball bat? My first thought was pitch fork as well. You could always throw a box over it and run a garden hose from the tail pipe of your car.

I got tierd of it as well. I tried raising the water first which seam to help but then they really started to get the scratching thing going on and I still had to clean it out pretty offten. I broke down and made a few nipple waterers which have worked out great.

The back one I'm not sure on. Could be a black sex link but it does look like a roo. 3 of them look like red or gold sex-links and the other two look like Easter eggers.
