Hey! Thanks for the reply. I ended up going with Softwood Shavings from the feed store. It has worked out well, though I find it a bit dusty as it breaks down but the girls don't seem to be bothered. They will be 5 weeks old this Friday and are loving life lol. They spend almost every day...
Maybe try a muffin cup or something similar to make a little bird cone like dogs lol.
Does it feel fluid filled at all? Have you tried a warm compress?
Can someone help me with my two ISAs?
Pic 1 is the 2nd day I had them.
Pic 2 is yesterday at 10 days old.
Pic 3 is the one in question - taken this morning

Can you feather sex an EE? I have a day old EE with the same colouring. Bought straight run, really hoping for a pullet as our bylaws state no roosters 🙄
I have 2 day old Barred Rocks and the one has been Horrible to the other since we got home today. Don't know what to do. Out of my 5 chicks, it's just this one BR that attacks the other BR>
I picked up 5 chicks this afternoon and I have Barred Rock that is bullying the other Barred Rock and won't leave her alone at all. She chases her around the brooder being a brat. What can I do?

We are getting RIR, Plymouth Barred Rock, and...
So, we still haven't put our vents in yet (we have lots of time before the chicks can go outside) but today Hubby fixed the floor and added the tray he made. He took apart the top of the skid floor from my last post to give the coop a 4inch deep floor so we can do deep bedding, and then made me...
I'm hoping to god it won't be in the brooder lol. It's never been used by other chicks or animals before. I have sterilized it and will do again before we get them Friday and their bedding goes in.
I am all too familiar with coccidia in dogs, I have no desire to set myself up for all that in...
We are looking in to raising a Turkey or two for Thanksgiving as well. Can you raise just one Turkey? We will have Chickens also. This will be our first Turkey and aren't sure what to expect, or what type. I'm assuming the broad breasted?
