We have a rooster now and I dont want baby chicks. But do chicks start developing in the egg when its in the fridge? Because if they do then I have to pay attention to not keep eggs longer than lets say 5 days.

Ah yes he sometimes did fight with the little one , even holding her feathers in the neck and she tries to get away from him. She isnt even laying yet :P It isnt a realy fight tho since the hen flees or lowers her head. Usually they get along fine but ive seen that behavior from time to time

Thanks :) Yes they are our chickens. They are the 2 little chicks that our 2 hens have raised together. Now grown into a hen and a rooster.

I hope thats the correct english word :P But basically we placed 2 up high and one lower and on the bottom will also come an even lower one which will be portable. Is this good for bantam wyandotte's ? They like to sit high I noticed. Any suggestions are welcome

Yes his voice is different, the other one sounds more mature actually (the hen). her voice is deeper, his seems more high at this point
