Do chicks develop in refrigerated eggs?

We have a rooster now and I dont want baby chicks. But do chicks start developing in the egg when its in the fridge? Because if they do then I have to pay attention to not keep eggs longer than lets say 5 days.

Nope they will not develop in the fridge. You could even keep out at room temp and it would not be a problem. They have to be at a high temp and humidity.
