Easter Egger Chicks available in Waupaca County Wisconsin. I have 28 available. They are all different colors. Most have muffs and some have feathered legs. Great layers of blue and green eggs. I will occasionally get green bloomed eggs which look grey in coloring. They are $5 each but if you...
Its about 1 cup molasses, 3 full eggs, 1 cup coconut oil or Crisco if I dont have coconut oil (you would need more like 2 cups then), I do 2 cups scratch grains and 1 cup of their feed. Then I throw in some egg shells and raisins. I add a quarter cup what germ. Mix the wet ingredients first then...
We have a trio together and they are fine. We also have 2 roosters in with 6 hens and they are fine. There are a few breeds that are more rough with hens than others and it also depends on the roosters personality. As a breeder all of the roosters that are mean to people or rough with the hens...
I dont have a picture but I make my own boredom blocks. The chickens love them. I mix together a mix of their feed, scratch grains, egg shells and whole eggs, and molasses. I will also chop up carrots, lettuce and other veggies if we have extras. Then I put it in the oven until just about firm...

Most of my broody hens that I let hatch eggs end up killing half of the chicks from either crushing them when they are under her or they get trampled by our other chickens. I learned pretty fast its best for the chicks if they are taken away. Also most of my chickens act freezing and its only...
I would suggest taking the chicks away. Chickens spend a lot of their energy trying to keep themselves warm during winter and having to keep others warm as well can sometimes be to much for them. I would be scared that when she gets up off the chicks to get food and water the chicks would get a...
There might be something else going on that is causing the chick pain when walking. Keep giving vitamins and give it a few days but if she is not doing better in a few days I wouldnt want her to continue to suffer, it would be best to put her down at that point.
Sometimes fertile eggs can be expensive. If your looking for anything ask a local farm with a rooster and they will usually sell a dozen of barnyard mix eggs for around $5 a dozen. If your wanting purebred you might have to order or look for local breeders in the state.
