I’ve just starting the lock down today. I checked the developments last night and it’s so full and dark in there I can’t see anything. I’ll wait for the the hatch date and see what we have. Thank you for checking in.
This batch of hatching eggs have all sorts of excitements and stress. The first was the double yolk egg with two growing chicks inside. Then this one is hatching at this very moment, 4 days early. I was candling the eggs before I prepare for lock down, but I keep hearing chirping. Sure enough...
Ok….. I’ve waited loooonnggg enough, so the turken is about 14 weeks now. I still don’t see any saddle feathers. Do you guys still think it’s a rooster? 🤦♀️
I have read through the posts before I started this, most of them just ended with then saying that they will update but never did. Also everyone always say that the eggs will not make it, but I just hope someone would see this and actually have some good advice. 😊
Thank you for the encouragement, I’m excited but is also worried because never would I think I would be getting a double yolk egg, let alone having two chicks in there. I think my mother instinct just kicked in 🤣
This is my first time incubating a batch of eggs, and what do you know…. Two of the eggs are double yolk and have tiny chicks in there. Has anyone had any success hatching these type of eggs before? I’m excited but is worried at the same time.
