Day 23 no signs of piping/hatching. Hen let eggs go cold. Will they hatch?

I'm so glad they didn't die! Different people have different views on assisted hatching. I've assisted under strange circumstances, and this definitely qualifies as such. If no change happens after 6-8 hours and you feel up to it, you might consider assisting the breach one. At this point, it...

Lockdown, I need to do I right!

I've read to drop the temperature to 98° at lockdown, but idk if that would kill them. I'm sorry not to be of more help! It sounds like you're doing everything right. Shipped eggs come with their own struggles for sure.

Day 23 no signs of piping/hatching. Hen let eggs go cold. Will they hatch?

I would candle them, and if there are signs of movement, bring them to your incubator. I'm sorry :( I'm worried they may not make it through the cold.

    Help still now progress

The bird has to pip into the air sac before it pips out of the shell, so that's probably what that is :) definitely a good thing.

    Baby chick leg injury

All you can do is make sure they can get to the food and water. The good news is, at that young age, they heal quickly. I had a 3 day old chick break a leg, and he is now a 2 year old rooster making babies. Don't loose hope!

    Eggs are Hatching!

Yes, a ton. It takes a lot of their energy to get out of their shell.

    Eggs are Hatching!

The healthy tired chick will occasionally walk around like normal and get bursts of activity. An unhealthy one will not. They sleep a lot at first though.

    Eggs are Hatching!

They will be just fine until they fluff up:) they can go for 48 hours without it according to reading. At this point, fluffing up is more important

    Second laying season question

Hi! It is the second laying season for two of my turkey hens, and there is zero evidence of them laying eggs. My young hens (their kids) have been laying for 2 weeks now. My question is, is it normal for second season layers to lay later than the first season? Any info will help, thank you!!
