So I washed my approximately 3 week old duckling and I used dawn to lightly wash and then used the soapy water to rinse not realizing I should of soaked him in vinegar afterwards.... is he gonna die... what should I do.... and what if he may of ingested some? Help!
Ok so here is the video, you don’t get to see when he actually throws up, but this is what he does before he does, the throw up tends to be clear and sometimes there is pieces of food in it. He’s currently still doing what he was in the video and he may throw up soon but I don’t know what to do...
He is pooping, but the food set up is there is a container of water (that is too small to jump into) and some unmedicated chick feed that we add brewers yeast to. We mash up the feed and add water. I put a picture of the type of feed:
Our duckling keeps throwing up. Last night it was clear. So we took its water away. Then today we gave him his food and water back and he started throwing up again. What should we do and is our duckling going to die?
Yes there is some water in there, but he doesn’t always goes to drink it after.. even though we mixed water with the food I’m not sure if he is alright... I’m totally new to this stuff so I have no idea what is normal and what isn’t
Whenever he eats he shakes, and we had to dip his beak in water to show him. So we decided to turn his food into mash (we mashed it up and added water) and he still shakes.... is this normal?
The breed of the two ducks are pekin, and I did candle the eggs to see what was happening, it was really hard to tell what was going on but I did see a bit of movement in each after a while.
Hi! Our first duck hatched fine, it was a different breed than our two pekins (it was black). Anyway the black hatched today, yesterday evening he made the hole, and today he broke through, but the other two haven’t even made the first hole yet, it is day 28... I’m not sure if I should be...
Hi, I had recently gotten duck eggs, and the date for them to hatch was today and the two Pekin ducks haven’t even made the small hole yet, and the black duck hatched early and it had this greenish, brownish, yellowish sac attached that doesn’t have blood vessels but it clearly the yoke. I don’t...
