    DIYs Ideas 💡

A good trellis that hangs like the upside down tomatoes planters. It will keep growing and they can frequently snack. Reusing feed bags to make a tarp, you layer them and then lay wax paper over them and use an iron to melt them together.

Does anyone have any small and easy to build breeding pen ideas?

No problem! I've had so many chickens in different things. I keep a rabbit hutch in my green house for my grow outs. It works so good. Extra warmth and protection, and keeps them dry.

Easy to build small coop ideas

Haven't read the comments but what is your climate? Your coop should also be based off that. Also will you move it, clean out everyday or deep litter? Closed coop or open coop to run? Also what predators do you have? A overly priced coop of the internet a dog can chew through. Raccoons can...

Does anyone have any small and easy to build breeding pen ideas?

Buy a rabbit cage or large dog cage depending on breed. I keep dog crates around for that and hurt chickens. If you want something wooden you can usually find free pallets and plywood on fb market place. Take some 2x2 boards and connect them, add chicken wire and a metal or plastic roof...

    Lethargic silkie chick, please help!

Hi everyone! My baby silkie have been through so much. It froze here and we lost power. I thought they would be ok but they are still weak. Yesterday they seemed like they were getting better, today my splash is so lethargic it can barely stand. The others are still not doing well but at least...

I think my Pretty Boy needs a crop bra

I think my Pretty Boy needs a crop bra

Get a bucket with a lid. I'd how many chickens you have but lowes, home depot, wilco, tractor supply, ace, pretty much everywhere like that sales buckets with lids for around $3-5 if it doesn't sit over night it won't ferment which is what you want

Look at my babies!! LOOK AT THEM!!!

I love hatching crossed chicks! Its always a surprise. I have two that I swore would be all black, just now at 4 months they have brown spots coming in all over! The dad was a lavender orpington and the mom a black sex link.

I think my Pretty Boy needs a crop bra

How long are you leaving it wet? Over night is good because they can digest it better, two days is too long.

    Chicken Breed Focus - Cochin

Chochins are one of my absolute favorite breeds! I have the bantam sized in all sorts of colors. They are full of personality and adorable. The great thing with the bantams, you can have more! I'm currently breeding mille fluer coloring. Can you see them in the trees? Lol

I think my Pretty Boy needs a crop bra

I don't really have anything to help you, but are you giving them grit? Crumble or pellets? Have you tried soaking the food over night and mixing in apple cider vinegar?

Whats you opinion on chick temp?

Hey everyone! So I just hatched some more chicks and after a couple years of doing this I'm curious. I used to be a freak about following all the rules, but everyone's climate is different. I'm currently in a snowy place, and if you know me on here, you know I get all the seasons! I've only...

    Help! Chickens eating each other!

I would separate all of the pecking ones individually. They will continue to peck where they see blood. A little chicken dress would useful. Try giving them suet treats or chicken blocks to scratch at. Maybe it would give them something more interesting to peck at
