I really want to connect with somebody who is a multi generational chicken farmer who knows about these machines. The FDA mandated egg washing with water in the USA in the 70's and made these obsolete.
I've been restoring a 1940's-50's dry egg cleaner that I inherited from my grandparents. It probably hadn't been turned on since I was a kid, 40 years ago. Anyway, the manufacturer and patent number are on it...so, I have that info but that's about it. I haven't been able to find another one on...
I keep my laying hens confined in a 1 acre run...with an auto door. My ducks and turkeys don't have an auto door but they refuse to go in their coop and I have lost some of them and they were pets. I would just say...defense is the best offense
I also just added 38 dominant coppers to the roost while on the roost at 11 pm...and if the 12 leftovers create a problem...I'll still have 38 dominant coppers...;)
i definitely wouldn't use that kit. You need some kind of spreaderlll
I wouldn't use that instrument set. You want a ratcheting spreader for the ribs, a blunt hemostat, and a spoon instrument with a notch cut in the top...and cyano acrylate unless you want to suture. i just glue them and take...
I would only do it if you want the challenge and you already have surgical skills. Otherwise, total waste of time....there's no reason if you buy meat chickens.
