I have a 1/2 acre pond. Grew up hunting greenheads in timber. Always was a pretty sight seeing them come in cupped / commited. We enjoy cooking with the eggs also. I was wanting to keep one of the greenheads and the swede if possible bc he has a trump toupee’ . The khaki doesnt have that prety...
not at all. Since i have a regulator i started out at around 10psi. The eggs werent moving at all; only a few on the bottom. All the videos i watched had minimum of 20psi. I ran it up some bc i had a little bit better control of air pressure via a pressure switch and having so many to work thru
After seeing a few designs on youtube i went ahead and made one up.
Material ;
5 gallon bucket
Copper tubing
Quick connect hose
Pressure regulator
Drill
I have zero $ in this. But it can be made realy easy. I coiled some bulk 3/8 copper tubing to fit inside bucket. Drilled a bunch of 1/8...
I miss my sussex & russian orloffs. (This is kinda stuff only in Louisiana) but a damn alligator went in the coop and had a field day. For those who dont know; i have a place on the atchafalaya . Used to have a coop at the house/ camp there and one here in Central. I am at both places just...
Any of you got cochins looking to unload? Neighbors dog decided to let cattle dog instincts kick in and got one of my fluffy footed buff girls. age doesnt matter. Young chick to laying ages
Had a muscovy drake would not let any other ducks near the feed box whenever I would fill them up.. had two; an easy 50 yds apart. On a 1/2 -3/4 acre pond. It would be almost a full day before the pekin or rouen derivitys could get to Eat. I finaly had enough of that one day when i was loading...
Ive got 6 or 7 around 2 months old that im waiting to see whats cockerel vs pullet, also got 2 ~6 month olds. 1 is about to catch a bullet to clean up flock dynamics. I have ~35 in my flock total. Not counting the 16 ducks
Correct. But if i read her post correctly; its already full. And the age of those is not listed. So they will need to be hand turned until the ones that pipped are hatched.
The original post is one big long run on sentence so im trying to make do with what’s available.
She really needs to...
my original post still stands tehn. Put the late hatcher in a homemade incubator if your other one is full. The 3 day olds are ready to explore and mom will manage them. Its mother nature at work. You cant make her stay on a nest. She will kill the baby trying to escape by u freaking her out...
Or do u mean she has some 3 day old & 1 day olds? If that’s the case it should work itself out by tomorow. They will all bundle up together tonite and will follow mom tomorrow
Staggered hatches are impossible. After 1.5- 2 days of the firdt one hatching shes ready to start showing them around. u have about a week to smeak a few under her at nite.. (already hatched) but even that isnt promisimg to some broodys.
sounds like u need to go buy another incubator if you are...
But to go back to your original thread.. your birds are 3 yrs old & molt is kicking there ass. Don’t expect any now that days are shorter and cooler. Wait til about February now. I have around 25 layers. Ranging from right at it to around 2 yrs. Im lucky to see 2-3 a day rite now. A month ago...
Wasnt tryi to be rude. Hope u understand where im coming fro also tho. It also goes baxk to dogs… all the millenium xyz alphabet safe spaces queens think that if they get there ankle biter certified they can bring it anywhere.. when it shouldn’t lead the house / has no formal training.
You...
I stand down from original statement. I have a family member who definitely needed a support animal. He had ALOT of trouble due to those who abuse the system. Albeit, on this forum, there are people who abuse the system and it chaps my ass . Look, if u need one, great… but if you are just...

NO SIR. FLOG ME ONCE MY FAULT,,, TWICE U LOSING UR HEAD. FLOG KID ONCE U DEFINITELY LOSING YOUR HEAD FIRST TIME
Theres too many good roosters going into shredder daily to put up with a rough one. Idc if i hand raised. Theres no need for a floggin rooster. There is no passing this along to...
Do you handle your birds daily ? That ppays a strong factor. Im one of the strong supporters of 99.999% hands off as much as possible. If u handle them i might would see them squatting. In ~15 years of owning chickens i have had less than 10 ever swuat for
Me. And oddly enough is when I did...
