Thank you, I really hope you are right, I did read about the males being barred. I keep second guessing the breed although I did see some copper feathers coming in so 🤞
3-4 week old, I bought as a supposedly midnight majesty maran along with another chick who was supposed to be the same breed but is looking more like a sapphire gem . They are from peavey and so should be sexed female but not 100 garunteed, I've also never had a single comb pullet not sure how...
I brought home three chicks from peavey mart today. One of them the staff weren't sure what breed it was. I was hoping you could help me figure out what my mystery chick is.
My hen is a one year old Silkie cross Named Moose. Her chick you can see is also a mix of my grey Silkie and ColumbianX roo. The white pullet is Grace the chick in the pic and her sister Frankie now at 17wks.
Thanks
No not #2 🤦 It's the only one I felt sorta confident was a Poulett it's the only one with rounded tail feathers hopefully maybe 🤞. And number one has had pink comb and wattles since 2wks.
I have six 6wk old chickens I'm trying to figure out which are poulets and cockerels I have a suspicion about a few of them but not sure. Would greatly appreciate the opinion of more experienced chicken people.
Cockerel?
Poulett?

Update yesterday I candled my eggs on day 7, they are still going strong I am still unable to see propely into my olive eggs will check again later this week. I can see into the other four eggs and they are developing well. I was able to get a good picture of one of the blue eggs.
