Incubating in my bra

My advice is to make sure you turn the egg regularly so that they get even heat (since it's coming from one direction). Some foil tucked in helps conduct the heat around, just make sure it's not touching your skin--it's super irritating, haha. Otherwise just try to avoid sudden motion or abrupt stops/jolts!

So the current egg is actually hanging out in my cleavage long side up so it’s almost completely engulfed, but when I add the second egg then the turning is probably going to be more important (beyond just normal egg turning). I'm curious if you don't mind me asking, are your eggs under or between them?

No worries, I have no shame! I'm not doing any at the moment, but I had mine under. Next time I think I'm going to try between though--gonna rig up something and monitor temp/humidity longer before I put an egg in there. My next attempt will be come summer time, because now I have to do lots of gardening and it'd be impossible to avoid rigorous motion :/.

Okay conundrum: I've been bare-egging it, and Titty Bird stays in my cleavage pretty well this way. HOWEVER I've been worrying a bit about gas exchange because not much of the egg is exposed to air. So I made a little thin cotton sleeve for it, but now it's not as warm and the egg keeps slipping around while I'm doing my daily stuff. I'd like to go back to bare egg. How worried should I be about air supply?

I wouldn't worry about the air too much as long as some of the egg is exposed to the air. Remember hens sit on their eggs pretty tightly, so it isn't necessary to keep all sides of the egg exposed eggsposed to air. I'd be more worried about a deleterious affect from sweat, but that's more of a personal problem for me.

Definitely not just a you problem! I'm a bit concerned about sweat but I did some research and it seems like it's mostly salt, potassium, and water. It seems like it might actually have antibacterial properties that kill some of the bacteria that live on our skin??? But chickens can't sweat so idk how it affects eggs

Thanks for clearing that up! The main concern for me though is the water itself--it can dissolve the bloom that protects the egg from microbial invasion. If you're worried about it, see if adding foil helps with the warmth if you put in a barrier.

I also put some eggs in an incubator that I recently acquired. There are six eggs two olive coloured, two blue and two bantam either silkie or silkie x not sure who is laying that one. I can't wait to see what the Chicks will look like. They are all crosses I have 1 Olive egger Molly, 1 EE Lunette , 1 silkie pepper and 1 silkie Cross Moose girls with a silkie roo Audrey and a roo that I hatched from a food basic irresistible brand organic free rang egg LC(lucky chicken) he is most likely the father of all. I'm on day 2 hopefully this works out. I'm going to create a separate thread so it's easier to follow.

Update yesterday I candled my eggs on day 7, they are still going strong I am still unable to see propely into my olive eggs will check again later this week. I can see into the other four eggs and they are developing well. I was able to get a good picture of one of the blue eggs.
