I have a couple hens that are vomiting a clear, mucous-like material. We have had rain for awhile now, and I was worrying about bacteria. They are about 1 1/2 years old. Poop looks normal. Other than the rain, no changes... they are on Purina Layena and scratch. One hen is really lethargic...

Hey all... I have a SDOEGB that has just hatched out 4 chicks I planted under her. My question is can I grab the chicks and throw them in a brooder and plant more eggs? Or is that cruel and unusual punishment? I have 7 RIR eggs I would like to hatch, but not if doing so would be to the hens'...

Last year I got chicks and kept them in a brooder. This year I have a whole coop (8X8) space for them and I have a question. I know a lot of people keep chicks in their barns.. can I keep them on the floor of their coop with ample heat etc...? Thanks!
