My chicks are 7 weeks old today. I'm in MA and its 50 to 60 deg. lately during the days and 30's at night. Can they be put outdoors yet into their home shown below? Also I plan to keep the feed & water in the caged in area, is it ok to shut them in at night away from the feed and water?

There is pink already in the comb of the GLW but no ridges or bumps that form the comb - just smooth? Also it seems to be the most shy and gentle of the 6

I bought the plans, studied them with the pictures and built the coop. Very simple & nice looking when done. I'll post my pics later. I did have trouble finding the roof materials and the 1" wire at 1st but after some digging around I found sources. I put about $500 into it. John

I ordered 5 chicks from MPC, got them on Tuesday. All happy & healthy and 1 extra. So far I'm happy with them, all went according to plan.
