Hey y’all. So today I noticed two of my Easter Egger hens have these weird blackish lesions on the tops of their feet. I did some research but it doesn’t look like bumblefoot or anything else to me. I have no idea what they are, so I just decided to keep an eye on them.
Then, a couple of...
In our garden, my mom, brother, and I pulled up our butter bean plants to get the pods off (the rats have started to get into them). While looking through the plants, we found this interesting little caterpillar. Does anyone know what it is? I’ve think it would be pretty cool to know what it...
Hey y’all. So today my mom found a baby dove laying in the yard. We looked around above it and found what was left of the nest. A little bit later I found the other baby (it was covered in ants) and what was left of one of the parents.
It looks healthy, I think it’s around a week old.

Hi,
This is probably going to make me sound really bad and inconsiderate but I would like some advice and peace of mind.
So today before I drove back to college for the week, I was outside spending time with our five week old EE cross chicks. We just introduced them to the rest of the flock a...
Yes, I’m asking about them turning yellow again, sorry if that was misunderstood.

I have not redosed her with the ivermectin yet. Do you think I should do it again?
Ok, we can mix up some sulfur in some Vaseline and apply it today. I might be able to make her an egg later.
I think there is a 14 day withdrawal with ivermectin but it also depends how you are administering the drug.
How are you giving it to your chickens and what are you treating for?
So we think Tiny (the rooster in the first pic) fertilized our white bantam hen Cotton (the white bantam hen in pics 2 and 3) and Alice was the result (the white bantam hen in pic 4)
Thank you. We hatched one egg earlier this year that we think was his baby. She (Alice) resembles how he and her mama acted a lot. I’ll see if I can find a picture of her
Thank you. I’ll make sure to do that.
And, a little off subject but any suggestions to make it seem so sad? I might be overreacting but he was my favorite rooster.
