Hello,
I was checking his crop today and it’s like a hard ball. Which is unusual for him. Do you think it’s sour crop or something else? I appreciate any help on this matter!
Thank you! I love the idea! I will try it. Sometimes I scratch the the brick with my nails and he comes and sorta imitates with his beak. It’s adorable but it’s obviously not enough, so I will try the sandpaper.
Thank you. I bought a brick for him (it’s behind him) but he seems to prefer to rub his beak against soft surfaces. I have been trying to figure out a way to cut or file the beak without stressing him but I fear that it may break (his beak was very brittle for a long time after he recovered from...
This is him. I have him inside the house for now. I take him out daily to a patio for sunbathing and have a little tub for dust bathing. Since he was doing better with breathing I started letting him explore the grass in the backyard. And that’s when the diarrhea started. That’s why I thought it...
He does have respiratory issues. He has a mixture of chronic mycoplasmosis that I treat with Tylosin as needed, and possible chronic aspergillosis, that I tread with medistatin as needed. But symptoms are currently stable. Do you think that has to do with the diarrhea?
Thanks for the article. He’s acting generally normal. A bit more irritable and pecky than usual. His comb does get a bit darker than usual from time to time. I think he has lost some weight but can’t confirm because he has outgrown the scale that I had.
He’s around 10-11 months I think. His crop is emptying just fine. I tried amprollium for 5 days and didn’t really see too much of an improvement. Do you think I should continue? I have Valbazen. I’ll have to try that then.
My little too has been doing droppings like this for like a week. He’s also increased his food intake (and his insistence on eating random stuff from the floor). Could it be intestinal worms?
I hate that I don’t have any vets nearby that I can consult. 😭
Today's entry features diapers!
For when I let my little roo walk around indoors. I would like to try them out.

I'm thinking of getting this perch. If y'all know of any other good perches I'd appreciate the recommendations.
This thread is fun! Already ordered some of the stuff posted.
My little roo has outgrown the weight scale that I used when he was little so I'm now considering getting this one.

Since my little roo is sick and I keep him indoors, these pads help provide bedding. I am allergic to most of everything and these work wonders without causing allergies.

Thanks!
1. His feed is 17% protein
2. Do you have any vitamin brands that you would recommend? Similarly, any vitamin E oil that would be safe for him?
3. I take him out for sunshine a few days a week but unfortunately he's only able to be out for like 5 minutes at a time as we live in the...
