I had some ducks last year in a 20'x30' pen attached to a 7'x7'shed. When the ground froze I moved my over crowded rabbits into it since it was vacant and spacious. I`m wondering where you are getting all of your figures, while some make sense some really don`t like the 450%. The way I see it yes RMF does keep 33% more birds and has an additional 72 square feet in coop space, however I have an additional 103 square feet in pen space, and they are smaller... -

Hovabator making loud noise on fan start up and stop
Just got a hovabator from a guy up the hwy for $15. I've read they normally make some noise but noone says how much, when, or how loud. When mine makes they noise it is when the fan/element is kicking in, or when it shuts down. It almost sounds like it needs to go faster to be quiet, like...- MommaBear

Moving nesting box with the flock????
So the ducks are in the coop at night, and that is where the nesting box has been since they always lay at some time in the morning before I let them out. The eggs are always in the nest and someone is keeping them warm, but as soon as the ducky door opens they are gone outside for the whole day... -
Egg shell supplimenting???
