It is 16x6 I literally cannot make it any bigger unfortunately .
I have 6 Black Star pullets that are about 6-8 weeks old now. They are just wonderful. The coop is a converted shed and is 4x6. I have it tiered so that they have the floor space of the coop as well. This has been a crazy project.
After 2 months of work and zero carpentry skills, my coop and run are finally finished! I live in an urban area and have alot of restrictions I have to follow. Hopefully no one can complain about my hidden coop! The ladies and my daughter love it!
(Please ignore the mess, I litterally just...
My Black star girls are about 5 ish weeks old and love being in the coop and run during the day(I still carry them in at night). Do you think they are feathered out enough to be out permanently?
On further research and advice from people on here I decided to just convert a shed into a coop instead of buying a premade coop.
The shed is 4x6 and has a nice window in it and im adding some more ventilation up top. I have been busting my butt building the run for the past two days and boy am...
Thank you so much for your information. I will look around for better coops, this one was not out of the box yet so i should be able to return it. I wonder why it is even allowed to marketed for up to 6 birds if it wont fit them.
Thank you for your response.

Im planning on building the hens will a large "run" built around the coop and a wooded yard to range around in...

I am setting up the "big girl" coop for my 6 mystery chickens ( probably BSL) and am debating what to put in the various places a chicken will spend their day.
I am setting up the Sentinel coop from TCS...

I was afraid they were. I wonder why idont work on older chcks.
I bought 6 3ish week old pullets from TSC and learned that they do not vaccinate their chicks after the fact.
They have not had any exposure to any other chickens, but have been let outside 2 times in my garden. A long time ago I lost a flock to merricks( did not know that was what it was at...
I really dont know what kind of chicken they all are, but they all kind of look like her. They really dont mind being handled. They dont like getting cought, but will sit and cuddle when they are! My best guess so far is Black star.
I think the little awkward teen phase is actually pretty cute and exciting.
Is it a boy or girl? Is it the breed you thought it was? Who knows, but they are pretty cute and silly.
If you want, please share your awkward teen phase chicks pictures and maybe take a guess at what they are. No...
