Thanks I will give that a try. yes and no to the first rabbit. I had one as a kid but I wasn't the one looking after it. He was also a dwarf rabbit. Lol this guy is already almost twice the size!
Ok Bunny Buddies I am wondering if this can be done.
He is an approx. 3month old Flemish giant that up till this point has been caged in a barn
How would I go about starting litter training?
Also tips or recommendations on setup indoor would be helpful. He is getting bigger and looking for...
So I have been crazy busy lately (2jobs plus cooperative extension courses and farmers markets😫😴) its been way hotter than normal and I have been letting my chickens free range under the pine trees to keep cool.
Today in the nest box I found normal eggs and this abnormally small egg. Upon...
These guys are all SPCA rescues. All strays/abandoned in different areas. If need be he will get his own coop and run but he will have a forever home here. I know they can be dangerous if not managed correctly but arrangements can be made for safer handling if that needs to be done. In the mean...
ok thanks I will give that a try. The coop is 13'x5' with 8 nest boxes and 5 roosts. The outdoor run is about 20x20. Most of the time the door is open and they free range. My EE are near the barn a good ways away contained in their run and coop and the leghorns "visit" and no issues through the...
Hello everyone!
I have a bit of a dilemma. I have three leghorns (2 hens and roo) that are around a year and half to two years. These guys did not "grow up" together and were all introduced separately. They have been together for about 2 months. They all get along fine.
I wanted to add to...
I thought this one was a rooster but I am second guessing myself. First two pics are the one in question. The last pic is the brother that is younger. They are 9 or 10wks old.
Just an update. The aggressive chick was a rooster. I worked with him to the point where he would not attack my hands and I could pick him up. He began being overly protective of two pellets and pinning the other chicks getting to close. I separated them from the rest and have since been rehomed.
Good Morning and Happy Mother's Day to all the chicken mom!
First pic is the one in question. Second pic are the brothers. They have alot of red coming in on their combs and wattles but the one in question has no red at all but a large comb. He/she ia also smaller than the others despite...
Thank you everyone for your responses. I am glad I am not the only one dealing with this ridiculous situation.
I work part time in a pet store and have heard some crazy things people believe about animals . It's just so annoying that if I use any of these eggs in a meal or dish they won't eat...
Ok I will start doing that. I was really only all that because my family is paranoid it seems about these eggs and was hoping that would encourage them to at least try them not being so "icky". It would probably be for the best to trim the flock back to the original three. I love my chickens and...
I have told them multiple times and it's not even the thought of a potential chick inside its just the eggs being fertilized in general. I have time and time again explained and also that leghorns aren't even particularly broody and the eggs aren't "sat on". My family is ok paying the guy down...
