    Gee I sent him an email to his gmail account I didn't know he was in college in Vermont. I think he has the bantams though. These are LF Salmon. Anyone else in the mid west might want them? They are really nice with deep beards and the hen doesn't have any dark feathers.

    My Faverolles Rooster Doesn't Crow - Will he ever learn?

    Just wanted to finish out this thread. My rooster is crowing now! He started once the girls started laying... isn't that something?! First egg was laid and he made a crow. He is crowing on a regular basis now. So all is SNAFU.

    I believe this means he is protein deficient. Try feeding some BOSS (Black Oil Sunflower Seeds). You can just throw it in the run or in the coop. My girls and boy love it. Also, make sure feed is available at all times. Also ensure that scratch is not the main feed.
