One of the most infamous questions on this form is regarding genders of Silkies… and here’s another one just for clarification and other opinions and insights.

… I’m still fairly new to the flock world, so this may be a silly question, but if I don’t ask veterans, then I won’t know. What are other possibilities for that big of a difference (at least in my experience - have many others that weren’t like that at all.
I have a beautiful 2-week batch of Silkies. A few of them have different feathering than others. They almost look like auto-sexing feathers.
Would love any and all input!

I have a growing fluffy butt hut of my own and love each and every one of them. They are my zen and always wait and welcome me in our coop. If you need to rehome any, reply and we can go from there! 🥰
Thank you .... I do have a black cockerel as it was *cough* playing (mounting each other and bumping chests) with my silver lace polish cockerel yesterday. I have to admit it was a bit comical, although I am keeping an eye on them, haha.
